Show Whight may be based at the foot of the Hollywood hills but he has chosen the UK to launch his debut single, such is his reverence for the great legends of UK rock – Led Zep; Black Sabbath; Queen et al. Committed to bringing his no-holds barred rock sound to a generation conditioned to think nothing can match any of the ‘classic rock’ artists of years past, Down the Aisle is a single which demonstrates by the power of his vocals and the grandeur of his music, the perfect introduction to an artist who is single-handedly looking to bring the power of rock back to the world.
Born to Egyptian parents in Los Angeles, Show Whight himself found himself in the shadow of the pyramids whilst studying at Cairo Opera House in his teens. Managing to find rock and metal fans even there, he returned to America determined to make it as a rock star, even taking up his mum’s ultimatum of “you’ll have to leave home” to achieve it. Taking rock ‘n’ roll as not only a musical style but also an ideology, he has honed his craft, playing at iconic venues such as House of Blues and Viper Room and rubbing shoulders with everyone from Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and Toto frontman, Bobby Kimball. Show is now embarking on his quest to bring rock music to audiences.
Featuring guitar and production from Ian Charlie, Down the Aisle is best described with Show’s own words:
“I wrote it about 2 years ago when a friend of mine told me that I should write a wedding song that everyone will play at their wedding – I always wanted to record it and get it out there. I really like how the song takes you up and down emotionally then escalates into a heavy sound with a scream and a guitar solo. Ironically, I’ve never had any intention of getting married!”
